Gary is a principal of Johnson, Christopher, Javore & Cochran, Inc. and has been actively involved in construction litigation since 1981. He has been a frequent speaker for the Construction Law Section of the San Antonio Bar Association and Texas Bar Association. He has mediated over 500 cases and has been appointed as an arbitrator in over 300 cases. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in "The Best Lawyers in America" for mediation and arbitration for the past 15 years, was selected as the Mediation Lawyer of the Year for San Antonio in 2015, 2018, and 2023 and as the Arbitration Lawyer of the Year for San Antonio for 2017, 2022, and 2024. He sits on the construction/commercial and consumer law panels for the American Arbitration Association and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution

Rates Information
Mediation
The fee for a full-day mediation is $2,000.00 per party (which includes lunch). If a mediation settlement agreement is signed in 4 hours or less, parties are refunded half of their fee (less the cost of lunch).
The fee for a half-day mediation is $1,000.00 per party. If the mediation goes longer than four hours, parties are invoiced at $250 per party per hour.
Travel expenses will be billed for mediations outside of San Antonio. Travel time is billed at $300/hour.
Arbitration
$400/hour for study, hearings and Award preparation

A cancellation fee equal to the product of the per diem rate ($3,200) and the number of days scheduled for arbitration may be assessed for any cancellation or postponement within thirty days of the arbitration date.
